About Elmwood Elementary

Welcome to Elmwood Elementary School, Home of the Panthers! 

Located in the Near West Chicago suburb of Elmwood Park, Ill., Elmwood Elementary provides a comprehensive, standards-based public education to students in grades K-5 as part of Elmwood Park Community Unit School District 401.

Along with John Mills Elementary, Elmwood is one of the District's two elementary schools.

The School Day

Learning begins at 8:40 a.m., and classes end at 3 p.m. Students may enter the building starting at 8:20 a.m. Teachers will bring students into the classrooms at 8:35 a.m.

Please note that Mondays are early release days for students, with dismissal at 2 p.m.

Office Hours

Office hours are 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, except when school is closed due to holidays or breaks.
